Natty King, Environmental/Planner

Natty King joined Fort Point Associates, Inc. (FPA) as an intern in Fall of 2022 before starting as a full time Environmental/Urban Planner in Spring of 2023. Since joining the firm, Natty has worked on a variety of waterfront real estate, coastal resilience, and public infrastructure projects across Massachusetts. His primary duties have included supporting community outreach and stakeholder engagement efforts and conducting preliminary planning analyses on land use controls applicable to commercial, residential, and industrial sites. He also has prepared graphics and narrative content for MEPA, Wetlands Protection Act, Chapter 91 and other regulatory permit applications.

Prior to joining FPA, he worked as a planning intern for several public and private sector organizations, including as the Lowell L. Richards Fellow for Leadership and Public Service at Massachusetts Port Authority’s Real Estate and Asset Management Division. He previously served as a GIS Analyst at a Boston-based firm, where he developed skills in spatial analysis that he continues to use in his current role. Natty holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Vermont and a Master of Arts in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University. His interests lie in balancing urban development with preservation of working waterfronts, expanding public access to waterfront sites, and developing climate change resilience measures across coastal Massachusetts.
