Erika Frazier, AICP, Project Planner

Erika Frazier, who joined Fort Point Associates, Inc. (FPA) in 2021, is a Project Planner with nearly 5 years of experience in environmental data collection, geospatial analysis, and environmental and climate resiliency planning. She has worked on a wide range of projects, leading and preparing permit applications for mixed use, commercial, industrial, institutional, and waterfront development projects under the City of Boston’s Article 80 regulatory process, Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA), Chapter 91 Public Waterfront Act, Wetlands Protection Act , and various other local, state, and federal permitting processes.

She is a key staff member for the Boston Harbor Shipyard & Marina Investment Plan, which includes planning and permitting in the East Boston Designated Port Area, as well as participating in community outreach efforts, and coordination with regulatory agencies. Her additional experience includes preparing the Encore Boston Harbor (East of Broadway) MEPA Applications, Boston University’s Institutional Master Plan, and the Provincetown Marina Harborwalk Notice of Intent and Army Corps of Engineers Applications.

Prior to joining FPA, Erika was a planning assistant with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Office of Cultural Resources. She identified key threats and opportunities for natural, cultural, and recreational resources on state properties and evaluated climate change impacts and resource vulnerability to help inform future decisions. She also held positions in other government and academic institutions. Erika holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Master of Science in Environmental Science with a focus in Stormwater Management and Urban Development, both from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Erika is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA).
