Retained by Trinity Financial, FPA was responsible for managing the environmental review and permitting process for Boston Housing Authority's Maverick Landing Development. With the demolition of the blighted Maverick Gardens public housing complex, the project has revitalized a large portion of East Boston and the formerly vacant Carlton Wharf. Partially funded by a federal HOPE VI housing revitalization grant, the project has added 396 mixed-income rental units and 30 affordable condominium units to Boston’s housing stock. FPA delivered a strategic permitting plan, prepared Environmental and Project Notification Forms, and secured all required local, state, and federal approvals. The firm coordinated extensively with a variety of stakeholders, including City of Boston agencies, East Boston residents and business owners, and managed the project's team of subconsultants.
