Fort Point Associates, Inc. was retained by John M. Corcoran and Company and The Brennan Group to spearhead the City of Boston Article 80 Development Review process and receive Boston Landmarks Commission and Massachusetts Historical Commission approvals for the construction of a mixed-use, transit-oriented development in Jamaica Plain, MA. The development site is located within a five minute walking distance of the Forest Hills MBTA station, is adjacent to Boston’s Southwest Bicycle Corridor, and accommodates more parking for bicycles than vehicles. The LEED Gold-certifiable project redeveloped a brownfield site consisting of abandoned and underutilized industrial and commercial buildings, activates Washington Street with ground floor retail/commercial space, adds publicly-accessible open space, and screens on-site vehicle parking. Nearly 17 percent of its 283 rental units are affordable.
