Fort Point Associates, Inc. provided planning services for the development of Everett's Central Waterfront Municipal Harbor Plan (MHP). The assignment included facilitating public and advisory committee participation, developing a vision of the waterfront's future, and preparing the Municipal Harbor Plan and guiding it through the local and state approval process. Through modifications to the use and dimensional standards of Chapter 91, the MHP accommodates new private development that will reconnect the city to the Mystic River, and will set high standards for the activation of portions of the central waterfront that for decades have been inaccessible, underutilized, and/or have provided limited amenities for the public. The plan was approved by the Secretary of EOEEA in early 2014.
