FPA was retained by ConocoPhillips to obtain approvals from local, state, and federal agencies to construct Boston Harbor’s largest fuel storage tank at the tank farm complex located on the Chelsea River in East Boston, MA. Approvals for the construction of a flammable storage tank required detailed review of project plans to meet stringent requirements of the state fire marshal and local building inspector. Additional improvements made by FPA included new fuel lines, stormwater drainage, and berm grading. FPA also coordinated the review of several environmental permits with the client.
