Liberty Wharf

The award-winning Liberty Wharf Development, completed in early 2011, is a $60 million complex of three buildings almost entirely over the waters of Boston Harbor in Boston’s Seaport District. The former site of Jimmy's Harborside Restaurant is now home to five restaurants, an outdoor public waterfront plaza, 28,000 square feet of office space and a public marina, each space offering impressive vantages the harbor. FPA managed the public approval process and the permitting process on behalf of the developer, Cresset Development LLC. Challenges included working within a complex interagency memorandum of understanding, governing development, constructing a project entirely over water, and managing relationships with Massport and the adjacent commercial fishing interests.
