Fort Point Associates, Inc. was retained to manage the environmental review and permitting process for the Wentworth Institute of Technology student apartments on Huntington Avenue in Boston, MA. This state-of-the-art student residence will house 305 upper level undergraduate and graduate students who are seeking to remain on-campus while participating in the lively urban cultural life of Boston and the Avenue of the Arts. Working closely with University administration and a team of architects, engineers, attorneys, and landscape architects, FPA prepared the Article 80B Large Project Review submissions for Boston Redevelopment Authority review. This project is one of five proposed institutional projects in the ten-year Wentworth Institutional Master Plan, which was approved by the Boston Redevelopment Authority in January 2011. FPA also spearheaded the public review process for this project, which has generated an intense local review of neighborhood impacts on traffic, parking, land use, urban design and infrastructure. A community task force is involved in reviewing all of the Wentworth institutional projects.
