FPA was retained by ConocoPhillips to obtain approvals from local, state, and federal agencies in order to construct a fuel storage tank at the large fuel complex located on the Chelsea River in East Boston, MA. Many approvals pertained to the construction of a flammable storage, which required detailed review of project plans in order to meet stringent requirements of the state fire marshal and local building inspector. Additional improvements included new fuel lines, stormwater drainage, and berm grading. FPA also coordinated the review of several environmental permits with the client. FPA developed an aggressive schedule and obtained the permits to construct the wharf and stormwater utilities in advance of the anticipated arrival of frozen product via deep draft reefers from national and international ports.
