Washington Beech

Retained by Trinity Financial, FPA directed the environmental review and permitting process for the Boston Housing Authority-owned Washington Beech project. This involved the demolition of the existing Washington Beech public housing complex as well as the construction of 191 mixed-income rental townhouses and 15 homeownership units. The project was partially funded by a federal HOPE VI housing revitalization grant and has relieved nearly eight acres of blight in this Roslindale neighborhood. FPA coordinated with a variety of stakeholders including the City of Boston and Roslindale residents, in addition to managing the project's team of subconsultants. After developing a strategic permitting plan, the firm prepared an Environmental Notification Form, a Finding of No Significant Impact, and secured all required local, state, and federal approvals.
