Everett Waterfront Study

Fort Point Associates, Inc. was retained by the City of Everett to prepare a Waterfront Plan for the City's three rivers: the Malden River, the Mystic River and the Island End River. As Project Manager, FPA directed the work of a marine engineer and market consultant. The Everett Comprehensive Waterfront Assessment was undertaken to define the City's vision for the future use of the Everett Waterfront and to provide a blueprint for the implementation of that vision. Since its initial development as a community, the City of Everett has relied upon its three waterways--the Malden, Mystic and Island End Rivers--as resources critical to the community's economic health. The Waterfront Plan is designed to protect the existing industrial uses along the Mystic River and to identify opportunities to create public access to the rivers on public and private properties.
